Biographical Information

Dr. Effa has served Bethany Bible Church since October 1982. He has been business manager for the corporation since 1992 and has served as principal of Bethany Christian School since 1994.

He served as a chaplain for the Plano Police Department and Plano Fire Department from 1988 to 2004. He served as a chaplain for the Medical Center of Plano from 1997 to 2004.

He is the south-central regional representative for the
Association of Christian Teachers and Schools, a board member and treasurer of the same organization, and currently serves as a Commissioner on the Texas Private School Accrediting Association. Throughout his time at Bethany, he has consistently done through the Bible teaching.


On August 24, 1975 he and Sara Kuykendall Effa were united in marriage. They have three children and twelve grandchildren. Their children love the Lord, married believers, and serve various churches in the north-central area of Texas.
